In one of their publications it says that Jehovah Witnesses are not to be in politics, but the laws of the government are to be obeyed. These laws are set by politicians in government. If a Witness campaigned for a politician it would not be accepted. How do you cope with this?

“Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God.â€â€”Rom. 13:1.
“Pay back, therefore, Caesar’s things to Caesar, but God’s things to God.†22 Well, when they heard [that], they marveled, and leaving him they went off.”– Matthew 22:21
Rom. 13:1, 5-7; Acts 5:28, 29
No part of the world: John 17:16; John 6:15; Jas. 4:4; 1 John 5:19…“the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.  John 14:30, Jesus referred to Satan as being “the ruler of the world.†So, no matter what worldly faction a person might support, under whose control would he really come?)
I am not a J.W. but I want to answer your question. Why are Jehovah Witnesses told not to get in politics but obey the laws set by them? It is because they are one of the FALSE RELIGIONS…
if really only God they obey, why do they obey the laws of the constitution. One of them is politics…also one of the law is to be properly having a permit to broadcast through television and on radios yet they say that they do not follow the rules of men….
there is simply one answer to this….they are one of the FALSE RELIGIONS…
God’s name is not Jehovah. (The tentagramatton only states the word YHWH, not yahweh or jehovah.)
There is no word in the bible such as Jehova’s witnesses. The rule of the apostles is concrete, Paul said, (I Cor. 4:6) all you are going to do and preach inside the church must be on the bible.
As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses we are told from the bible to “Caesars things to Caesar, but God’s things to God”. We obey the laws that are set up because we know they work to our benefit and we know that Jesus did the same thing. However, the Bible shows that true Christians do not advocate or preach democracy, socialism, communism or any other form of human government as a remedy for the world’s woes. What Christians preach is a heavenly government, the kingdom of God. And that kingdom is not part of this world. Said Jesus: “My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source.” (John 18:36)
God’s kingdom is no mere social reform. It is the government that will rule the universe. To make way for the universal rule of God’s kingdom, the Bible shows, the political governments of this world must be destroyed. Not from men will come this destruction, but from God. Declared the prophet Daniel: “In the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty thereof be left to another people; but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.â€â€”Dan. 2:44
So the early Christians were careful not to meddle with politics. They knew that God’s kingdom is destined to destroy all political governments and that those involved in politics would be enemies of God and hence also in line for destruction.
Jesus wanted his followers to live and not suffer destruction with this evil world. So he urged them, not to participate in politics, but to stay separate from the world. He set the example himself and always lived up to his words: “I am no part of the world.â€â€”John 17:16
On one occasion the populace of Galilee wanted Jesus to plunge into politics. The people saw that Jesus was righteous and wise and they realized that he would make the ideal political ruler. They may have felt that Jesus was merely throwing away his opportunities by preaching a future kingdom when he could have a kingdom right there and then. How did Jesus respond to the crowd’s popular draft? “Therefore Jesus, realizing they were about to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain all alone.†John 6:15
So all in all, since we do our utmost to follow Jesus example. As Christians we do not get involved in Politics. Though we do obey the laws and pay our taxes. We believe that the solution to mankind’s problems rests in God’s Kingdom.
Please read Acts 5:29
As for “Maijan”.. please read: Matthew 7:1 and 2Â Corinthians. 9:6
By supporting government authorities, you show by your actions and heart that you do not believe or trust in God’s Kingdom arrangement – see Daniel 2:44
We only obey the law when it does not disagree with the Bible. For example, if the courts said that my son/daughter had to have a transfusion, I would flee the police. All true worshipers of Jehovah would do the same thing.
We do not vote because nationalism is a major tool of Satan. We are not Satan-worshipers, unlike false Christianity.
We follow Jesus’ example…
WE ARE OBEDIENT
Mark 12:17: Jesus then said: “Pay back Caesar’s things to Caesar, but God’s things to God.†And they began to marvel at him.
Romans 13:1: Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God.
John 17:15: “I request you, not to take them out of the world, but to watch over them because of the wicked one”.
WE ARE NOT PART OF THIS WORLD
John 6:15: Therefore Jesus, knowing they were about to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain all alone.
Matthew 4:8, 9: Again the Devil took him along to an unusually high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he said to him: “All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.â€
Revelation 13:2: Now the wild beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were as those of a bear, and its mouth was as a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave to [the beast] its power and its throne and great authority.
*** the best: Goverments (Daniel 7:17)
*** Dragon: Satan the Devil (Revelation 12:9)
And [Satan the Devil] gave to [the Goverment] its power and its throne and great authority
John 17:16: “They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world”.
