consignment shop are GREAT, and if you bump into someone you know and they tease you, ask them what they are doing there. P.S. and be ready with some stuff of your own to drop off if you are really worried.
Not at all. Some bargains do exist at used clothing, etc. My niece, I know, does all her shopping at consignmente shops and she is dressed elegantly.
I do notice, however, that some of the stuff is overpriced and I sort of stay away from that, and/or go back in a week or so and they might have lowered the price by a certain percentage.
I get my clothes from “vintage” or thrift stores. if you are worried that you might see someone that you know there or someone will say, hey I had that shirt but I gave it to Good will or something, then go a couple of towns over and go to their thrift stores. This is a good place to get stuff, some of the outfits I got still had the tags on them.
Why are you ashamed in the first place?? Everyone loves a bargain.

I love vintage clothing. I love second hand clothing if its my taste. I love new clothing. I love friends hand me downs. I love material actually. I’d even shop at an army surplus for clothes if they had a bomb sale. And I really really hate with a passion unequaled the military and most of the creeps in it.
