speed skating… it is the winter olympic version of track events.
ice hockey is another one. for me, this is the centerpiece of winter olympics.
and finally, figure skating, i like seeing the beauty of throwing up skaters in the air and landing on both feet perfectly.
I love ice skating!! I think the appeal for me is that altho I’ve skated since I was a kid, I never got any farther than skating backwards! It is very clear to me how difficult becoming a world level skater actually is, & the fact that so many top-level competitors are so very young is just unbelievable to me!! Looking back, even if I had had any talent, I would not have been willing to give up YEARS of my life to advance.
Short track speed skating. Check it out, you won’t believe the action. These guys are Gooodddddd!!!!!! And so are the girls.
Oh, I like it the most, mainly because my daughter speed skates.
