I have a friend at work who owns an automatic camaro and everyone makes fun of him cause it’s automatic. It’s still a car. It runs fast. I wish I owned that car. I have an old car and it’s a stick shift but it’s too old and I would trade it for an new auto if I could. Stick shift is the VCR of the car world. Why do people like stick shift sport cars? We no longer live in 1950 so we got to get with the program.

If you buy a sporty car shouldn’t you be the one driving it? Automatics are just pushing 2 pedals and steering.
I see nothing wrong with automatic, sure manual can be fun but a vast majority of people I see like automatic these days.
i cant speak for everyone that does it, but i make fun of auto sports cars because you buy a sports car to show off your driving skills and you drive it to feel in control of the car and connected to the road… with an automatic it shifts for you, you have no control over it.. with a standard trans you have ultimate control over your car…
reason 2… a bit outdated, but alot of people still think its true… the auto trans looses more power then the standard, and with a sports car you want a little loss between the engine and the road
and reason 3… alot of people feel nostalgic about standard trans….
Manual is associate with racing as so is the the Camaro heritage. An automatic transmission in a sports car is a bad thing.
omg..stick shift is so much fun though
take that camaro and give it a 6speed man, youve unleashed a whole other beast
trust me..
people often will dog on autos for the reason that people just get them not knowing how to “drive”

Automatic trannys do not give you control of the car. With manual, YOU control gear selection & shift patterns. YOU control speed. YOU control fuel mileage. Maintenance costs get cheaper with manual trannys. With an automatic, all you do is just sit there. You’re not even driving half the time. I swear, people are starting to get lazy with this demand of automatic trannys these days. Give me a 1986 Camaro with a stick shift over a 2001 Camaro with an automatic anyday of the week.
Some people simply prefer an automatic over a stick shift and some prefer the stick shift.
Today’s automatic transmissions are not the slush-box automatic that your grandfather drove – they shift faster than any one can pull a stick shift and they’re overwhelmingly preferred on the dragstrips.
It sounds like a little jealousy in the work place may be in play.

stick shift cars for one saves on gas and two they are faster and three people just enjoy driving them better the only downside to them is when ur stuck in traffic then they are a pain
