I’ve heard of people who sell products from China to Consumers, and they send their request over the web to the responding company in China–who then sends the product from China to the consumer. No warehouse needed. What does this entail, and what if I want to deal with more than one product? Do I have to file a licence somewhere? How do I find these companies? Are there other’s–say in India or elsewhere?

Basically when you start importing your suppose to pay a tax when your products become more then your yearly allowed federal tax exemptions. If you ship in large quantitys you going to have to buy a container and have it shipped to a local port then transported. The other way is if your in china, you can send directly to your customers. This works for ebay because your customers arent the same person everytime and can be passed as not reaching your yearly import tax amount. You can bet if you order 10,000 slinkys shipped to your front door every month, the government will be paying you a visit if its not claimed. Also small boxes are easier to ship without claiming taxes because most go unchecked. I would check with a port and ask, your limited on amounts, values, and type of products. Some products arent allowed.
This is the best web site I have encountered on this matter. Lots to think about. I’m going to show my friends. It will certainly start a whole new topic of conversation.
Useful information. Lucky me I discovered your site unintentionally, and I am stunned why this coincidence didn’t came about in advance! I bookmarked it.
