Tibet was an independent nation with a peaceful government. China, in their thirst for power, brutally invaded it and killed thousands of Tibetans in the process. They’re destroying Tibet. Additionally, they’re trying to flood the place with Chinese in an attempt to destroy Tibetan culture. It was actually offensive when a Chinese person told me that Tibetans are Chinese. Tibetans are a people only interested in peace and compassion, and the Chinese government somehow thinks that’s bad because of their hatred for religion in any form.
Why Do Some People Falsely Think Tibet Was Ever A Part Of China?

Short answer: Brainwashed by Chinese Government
Tibet was actually a part of China. Although Tibet is forced to be part of China it actually still is part of china. Even though I’m Chinese and don’t really have any opinion on this subject, most Chinese people will say that Tibetans are Chinese because they could be prosecuted for criticising the government and the government has also led Chinese people to believe that Tibet was always and still is part of China.
For many centuries Tibet paid tribute to the Chinese Emperor. They did this to avoid being invaded, but they were autonomous. That is, the Chinese Empire exercised no control over the country.
Unfortunately, the monks meditated all the time, and they needed slaves to cook for them and run errands and so on. Tibetans still owned slaves when China invaded – this was one of the propaganda weapons used by the Chinese against the Tibetans. Now of course Tibet is part of China. It is a province of China and the majority population is now Chinese.
Some of what you say is true, some is not.
1: This story is old news. Although there is much truth to the story, and it is terrible, it is old news and such things have long been a part of life on this planet.
2: Did you personally verify the information you present? If not, did you take it on good faith from a party with reasonable proof and verifiable authoritative knowledge on the matter? If neither of those, did you just blindly believe what some random person(s) told you via some means of communication? [Note: These are all rhetorical questions.]
3: Q-Why do some people falsely think Tibet was ever a part of China?
A-Some people think a lot of things, but as nobody is a mind
reader then such wordings ought to be made in accompaniment
with quotings of the source(s). Assuming you merely omitted the
source for some reason or another, then perhaps one could
convolutedly conclude that someone, somewhere, somehow
convinced a group of people that Tibet was indeed part of China.
Regardless of the reality of the geographical inclusion, or lack
thereof, your question seems as much without point as much of
the majority of my silly answer to your quoted question.
4: For someone that seemingly believes in the only ‘race’ being the ‘human race’ (which I myself feel to be the case), it strikes me as a funny double standard that you might draw imaginary lines on the earth and call people in one area by certain characteristics a clan or type or whatever you may, while at the same time protesting the very nature of humans (not that I feel there’s nothing to object to, but, again, Tibet’s story is old… Not to suggest it should be forgotten, but you come across as though you have new information… new to you doesn’t mean relevant to life at this moment and place.)
Tibetans hold chinese passports, the same way american natives hold us passports…
Tibet wasn’t that peaceful, they attacked and invaded Sikkim, the same way China did them! Have you been to Tibet before? How about Sikkim? You should go!!
i have mixed feelings on this subject. cus there are some really annoying people that are always like “free Tibet!’ and its just annoying. nut then again the Tibetian people should be able to live how they want to live and not have pressure from the Chinese gov. trying to change them.
What does this have to do with R&S exactly? I think you were looking for the politics section.

Politics.
It could be said that Tibet was part of China when part of the Mongol empire but of course we all know that Tibet is a sovereign state and that China are aggresively colonising it! The Western governments just turn a blind eye as they see China as a new source of investment as international conglomerates can increase their massives profits by trading with them. Naturaly this is short sighted as China will soon be the dominant world power and will no doubt look to extend its empire first in Burma then Thailand, South Korea and Japan.
